What is the Splash-n-Dash?

The Splash-n-Dash is held annually on July 4. It’s a fun, community athletic event that comprises teams of four, three, or two persons. Teams can divide legs of the race between members. Individuals also may enter; one person does all four stages.  The legs consist of a swim in the Prineville Swimming Pool; a bike ride through the south side of town; a boat race (canoe or kayak) down the Crooked River to the library; and, a run through town that ends at the finish line in Ochoco Creek Park. 

The team categories include business, family, high school, female, male or co-ed.  Individuals can compete in the entire race if they wish.  The Splash-n-Dash is a growing tradition in Prineville. We had a record-breaking 170 participants and 30 volunteers last year. This year will be even bigger!

All Sponsors are also invited to provide a flyer or something to go in participant’s goody bag with participant’s race shirt. Get MORE BUSINESS to YOUR BUSINESS!! In the past we have had flyers about upcoming sales, drink tickets, discounts flyers, stickers, tattoos, etc.
